Your Profile

  • Studies in engineering (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering) or related studies such as materials science / physics.
  • Interest in dynamic projects in collaboration with teams from different fields
  • Experimental skills and enjoyment of hands-on tasks are a further prerequisite
  • Communicative personality

Your Responsibilities

At Sensirion, you will encounter versatile and challenging tasks with a wide-ranging scope of responsibility. Do you enjoy exciting project work in interdisciplinary teams, would like to help us shape the further development of products and enable their economical production? As a member of different project teams, you will participate in developing the latest generation in sensor technology. Your future colleague, Stephan (Junior Process Engineer), tells you what to expect in your job:

What are the specific tasks?

As the “Environmental Sensor Processes” team, we develop and improve test and calibration processes for our production lines. The processes enable each sensor manufactured to quantitatively measure properties such as temperature and humidity, or to measure gas and particle concentrations. Thus, as process engineers, we make a direct contribution to the main function of our products. Process development takes place in close cooperation with product development, the internal automation group and the hardware and software department. For these reasons, we regularly collaborate with a wide variety of specialist departments.

What are the daily challenges?

In our dynamic project and production environment, we have to understand complex processes and test sequences, plus a multitude of information must be transformed into relevant findings. A scientific background and solid knowledge of physics are essential for interpreting measurement data. At the same time, due to the proximity to production, finding pragmatic solutions and hands-on skills are required. Due to the holistic project work, we find ourselves working in workplaces such as production, the laboratory, or the workshop, which allows us to develop our skills as an all-rounder on a daily basis. In this varied position, we have the opportunity to demonstrate analytical talent, share our knowledge with colleagues and help develop world-class technologies as part of Sensirion.
